If you are considering living with a Border Collie please be sure to
thoroughly research the breed. Border Collies are not for everyone!
Living with a border collie is a huge commitment, these dogs are not your
average, lay by the fire and sleep all day, lap dogs. They need a "job" to
do and if you don't give them one...they will find one on their own. They
are very high drive energetic dogs, just the way they were intended to
be. Border Collies were bred to herd sheep and they will herd. If there
isn't sheep around they will herd or chase anything, cats, other dogs,
children, cars, bikes, basically anything that moves. If you have small
children, a Border Collie may not be the right breed for you because
when Border Collies herd, they will sometimes nip. If you have any
